Any time the word “game” is incorporated in class; the students eyes pop open wider. This last week we introduced Jenga task cards! After take a turn picking a Jenga block, students answered a grammar question task card that aligned with the color block they chose. They had so much fun during this center that they didn’t even realize how hard their brains are working.

In today’s, peer teaching activity, each group gathered information on types of castles and castle parts. They then taught the other group about their topics. Peer teaching promotes active learning; as well as, reinforces students with learning by allowing them to take what they have learned and instruct others.
